Geno went full Geno

My god... Dude just can not handle losing. His interview during the game was a complete bitch fest about the refs and then he did the cardinal sin of bitching about the other coach Staley and how she was talking to the refs. He didn't seem to like that she did that. I guess only he can. I've never seen a coach complain about another coaches actions DURING A GAME. Coach your own damn team Geno.

But that was just what happened during the game. Right after in the handshake line he said something to set off Dawn and they got to yelling at each other and assistants separated them. Evidently he was bent about pregame handshake protocol and thought she blew him off for that. As if at the end of the game it had anything to do with anything. Why bring that up at all let alone right then and there? You're team got beat. You're two studs both laid eggs and looked like they weren't even ready for the game. Fudd was a total non factor. And instead of congratulating the other team and talking about your team he wanted to make a total ass hat out of himself and do all that.

And good for Dawn cause she wasn't having it she stood up for herself just like you'd expect. I'm not a huge fan of hers but she's far from being what Geno is. I detest that douche and I can't understand why parents send their kids to play for him. Hopefully if we're lucky that's the last we'll see of him and he'll retire. But who knows.

Geno is a big whiner it is true, but NCAA womens basketball has a problem this year with too many good teams scoring under 50 points a game, including both final 4 games.

The final 4 games are feeling too much like those ugly games in the WNBA where they try to beat each other up. Its a style of basketball I do not like at all.

UCLA Coach Cori Close said it was more of a rugby match than a basketball game. Very polite way of saying the refs had swallowed their whistles and were allowing basically all physical contact. Not a lot of fun to watch. If i recall correctly, well into the 3rd quarter TX had shot 4 free throws and UCLA had not shot even one, even though there was pretty much non-stop contact.

This guy reminds me of Bob Knight at the end of his tenure at Indiana. The last vestige of a dinosaur coach that does not fit into modern basketball. He needs to retire, but probably won't.

This is where I'm at to. Not a big fan of hers but I really can't stand Geno anymore. Remember what he said about CC before her first WNBA season?

Yeah my beef with Staley has to do with her taking what Bluder said about her team totally wrong and not correcting the record for it. Remember how Bluder said something about how playing against them was like going into a bar fight? Staley took that as a diss when it never was and then it got spun into some whole racial BS all together.

Geno is just pure garbage all the way around nowadays. Yeah what he said about her was totally unprovoked and anyone with two eyes could see was all wrong. So a part of me is like let the two make total asses out of themselves. She coulda handled that better then she did too.

Look at it this way, women's basketball that does not involve CC needs all the publicity it can get. Bad publicity is still publicity. So, whatever. Their little feud drew a few more eyes to the television I suppose.

I too was outraged. I slept on it. Woke feeling sorry for Geno. As mentioned above Knight stumbled but IU fans supported him and the school eventually had him back. Remember incident ending Woodrow Hayes' career? While it is not forgotten, I believe most fondly remember him. Time heals all wounds. At least that's what I tell my former love interests.

Exactly! NCAA probably loves it the way NFL likes Swift attending games. All those "Swifties" watching games for a glimpse. And Kelce decides to come back another year. I bet his agent negotiated a viewership payout from the league. Smart

Geno predicted she wouldn't be an immediate impact player in the WNBA and would take time to adjust. He assumed she wouldn't be able to compete against all the former UCon players in the league.
