What's the difference?

Gigantism and Acromegaly are the same thing, but the difference is that Gigantism is caused when the tumor develops in someone who isn't physically an adult yet and they still have space in their growth plates...Acromegaly is outward growth because the bones can't grow longer.

I feel like there has been a Mamdou N'diaye that has played major college football or basketball in the fairly recent past. Syracuse BBall player, maybe. I believe UNC had a center named Makhtar N'diaye. I think both played in the early 2000s.

Mamadou N'Diaye played for Auburn in the late '90's. He was a 25 year old senior during the 1999-2000 season.

I just hope they get his condition under control before it causes other health problems...even if the kid isn't quick enough to play at the next level, he could make some good coin in the WWE like The Big Show, The Great Khali and Andre The Giant all did.

Kenny George (UNC Asheville) was between 7 ft 7in and 7 ft 9 in (Yao was 7 foot 6). He played in the 2007 - 2008 range. I believe he could touch the rim while standing.
