Focus on the positive...

yes...the attrition of various players (coincidentally all at RB) is a concern...

but why do we always focus on negativity...???

if/when people give you crap about Iowa being "Thug U"....hit 'em with this...

1. 79% Graduation rate - 3rd in Big Ten behind NW & PSU...
I didn't find the national rankings...but I'm pretty sure that puts Iowa
in the Top 10 nationally....

2. no less than 34 players on current NFL rosters...less than OSU & USC..
but more than current champ Alabama...I did not look at every school, but
again this has to be top 5 nationally......and this is a remarkable stat
considering Iowa does not get a lot of blue chip recruits..

3. plus, take into consideration the hundreds upon hundreds of athletes who have come through the program, on scholarship or not, (not on scholarship makes this even more admirable..) who were basically anonymous, gave it up at practices on the scout team, never got in ANY trouble, graduated and are now successful members of the community... .all this...and never played ONE DOWN in a game...

4. plus the countless community-minded activities the current team members take part in...like visiting sick children at U of I Hospitals, etc...
