If not for the ridiculous foul by USC with 4 seconds left I think we would have lost. We didn't have a lot of options at that point. Good thing they had the freshman on the floor.

In this game it was more a function of Woods having the night of his life. That kid could've been wearing a blindfold 17 beers deep and he wouldn't have missed last night. If that doesn't happen we cruise by 15.

I like this team and coach. Might not be this year but I think he's going to elevate things firmly above Fran.

Just need that deep March postseason run. Look at what they did for the women's program.

I agree. I just don't think that March run will happen this year. Because as it stands now, we are projected to be an 8-9 seed, or somewhere around there. Which means if we get through our first game with a win we would be facing a 1-2 seed in the second round. I don't think we have what it takes to win against that type of team yet. Now, if we close out the season and elevate to a 4-5 seed, then this looks more doable.

OK concerned again. We're bleeding too much clock and stopped being aggressive on offense

This was a concerning issue that I hope Ben learned from. They went into a time usage frame of mind a little too much. This allowed USC to catch their breath and then excerptthemselves on defense when the shot clock got down to ten seconds.

I was happy with the win but the freshman made a huge mistake when he fouled one of our best players with four seconds left. The rough play during the game made you wonder how the officials grew some balls finally and called that foul on USC.

I followed the game live and then watched it a second time and could not believe the rough contact and traveling calls that were missed in this game. I hope the missed calls were sent into to Big Ten people who are in charge of officiating.

As far as the game went it was fun to watch the Hawks battled through adversity twice in this game. Falling behind at the beginning of the game, then losing a big lead ( 15 points with under five minutes left) to gut it out and pull off the win.

I read through all your comments on the game thread and got a little chuckle at the emotional ups and downs from everyone’s comments.
