Massoma Endene is no longer with the Iowa wrestling program. Man, when will this program get good news??? Does Iowa win more than one match against Penn St this week?

It’s money-related and is gonna get real messy soon. 99.99624% of college wrestling fans hate Iowa and it’s gonna get framed on SM as a hit job, and to be honest I can see that viewpoint in some ways. Real bad look. Problem for Iowa is Brands can’t/won’t respond so you’re only going to hear the Endene side. Which in fairness Tom knew making the decision. All’s fair in love and war so I can’t blame Endene if he makes a statement.

To also be honest, I get zero enjoyment from collegiate wrestling anymore. Know the coaches well and my son has even gone down and sat with Bonnie several times at both home and away duals (my parents and Bonnie were friends). I’ve had seasons forever and grew up watching the Hawks on IPTV as little kid. Followed them my whole life and I’m 45 years old.

But the current environment has completely killed my interest. International freestyle is the only form of wrestling I enjoy following now which is sad. Either way I’ll be fine ultimately. Nothing has ever stayed the same forever.

We have no backups at that weight.

Brody Sampson: 2 matches in college, got shithammered both of them at the SS by unranked guys.

Harvey Ludington: Same as above

Jake Howell: Has never wrestled a college match.

Barr is #1 by 10 miles. Any backup we have (or just about any other team in the country) is going to be lucky to not get pinned. This is going to be a tech at best no matter who we enter. Guessing a forfeit.

I'd also seen where Brands wanted him to take a cortizone shot in his neck but he didn't want to. There's no shortage of rumors floating around it looks like. Brands is making a tough situation tougher though I don't think that's debatable.

Needless to say this isn't the yr they get over the PSU hump....

I was talking about Arnold hoping for a non major or tech. Hoping Ludington is a stud next year.
