I think if they come with the will they played with against Purdue and we can stop the 3 ball attack, we have a chance to win this game.

If we can slow down Lucas' penetration, guard Appling and get some perimter shooting from Gatens, May and McCabe (5-10 from 3) and Cole can knock down a few 12-15 footers to keep a big out of the paint, I like our chances. This might be asking too much...

Like Melsahn said, if they do manage to beat MSU,then they get Purdue and it is like deja vu from last week...weird,and really not a good path for Iowa to take this BTT.

MSU is playing well,with Lucas back to his old self. They stumbled at Ann Arbor but in the prior weeks had hit their stride.

I will be very surprised if the Hawks pull off this upset,but will be watching and hoping and praying they do. Guard the perimeter as Lucas and Appling killed the Hawks in EL with their shooting from the arc. But, I think frosh Appling has to prove that he can shoot it from the arc on the road in a strange environs.

MSU has not been good at all on the road. I think Purdue would rather play Iowa than Michigan State so the locals will be pulling for Iowa. The majority of everyone else's fans other than MSU will be cheering for Iowa. I know I always pull for the lower seeds...whatever makes the path easier. I really like Iowa in this one. I can't say the same about the Purdue game Friday...if we do get that far.
