DP is definitely a douche and no doubt is contributory to why he is not on an NFL roster, but lots of douche's that help their teams win are. The bigger problem with QB's like him are the offensive schemes they come from. In high school and college a quarterback can be successful with talent alone, either their own or their surroundings and it doesn't have to be complicated. But you can't get away with that in the NFL and I would say that DP has a very elementary knowledge of intricacies of an NFL offense because atleast his Vanderbilt offense was a basic spread with talented weapons around him. This is why it is fascinating with what KF/TL are doing because they are the only college team to run the scheme that virtually every NFL team is running. It could be a breeding ground for quarterbacks because of the attractiveness of knowing that a QB coming from that system will have a 4 or 5 year head start on everyone else.

Iowa's been running an NFL set for eons and it hasn't happened yet. I don't see it happening either because Iowa doesn't get elite quarterbacks even if they are pocket guys. Guys like Burrow, Allen, and Stafford ain't coming here in their college years.

The only thing Diego Pavia will ever be is a cautionary tale.

He will not be an quarterback, he will not get a football announcing gig because he's an asshole and unintelligent, and he most certainly will never enter the world of coaching.

In 3 years he'll be rippin' vapes out behind the local Dunham's that's about to close down in Fitznerschneef Pass, WY during a "break" in a cash-only, $10/per item autograph session with selfies for an extra $5. The only cool stories to come out of it will be from the workers when they tell their buds at the bar that Pavia had to have Carla bum him a Diet Coke from the breakroom fridge because he "forgot his wallet" and how he threw the can on the ground even though he was standing right next to the dumpster.

That's the extent of Diego Pavia's future.

We should all be glad to see someone live the life they deserve...not feeling sorry.
