ST might be my biggest concern. We have had much better than average ST play for several years - possibly responsible for one, possibly two wins per year.

For the most part, it's kind of a typical Kirk depth chart for the first week.
Van Keckerix has received praise from the coaches during camp, so we'll see, but you just know that any 5th-year senior lunch-pail type of guy is going to get penciled in to start the season by Kirk. That's just the way he rolls.
I wouldn't be shocked if Weisskopf ends up being the starter at Leo by mid season, but, hopefully Van Keckerix does really well and holds him off. Kirk has a history of stubbornly hanging onto high-character upperclassmen over younger players with higher ceilings, which is absolutely commendable to a point, but that degree of loyalty can be frustrating at times.
Case in point (and keeping it real) here's no way Harrell was the best option at LB last season. I'm sure he's a great young guy, but he had me pulling my hair out at times watching replays. With our uber-inexperienced defensive line, we can't afford to have linebackers that are slow to react or taking poor angles.
That said, this team is really, really, young. Despite that, there's something about watching young players learn on the go that's exciting. Mistakes inevitably are going to happen, but we were pretty young in '09 and that didn't turn out too bad
