Coon from Storm Lake Visit

All we need now is that fella from KS, Flory Bidunga, and we should be good to go......though I don't think we have NIL $$

For a school that doesn’t have any NIL we got 3 4 star Freshman next season.

A bunch of 6'7" to 6'9" long-armed guys who can pass, shoot, move and defend with 3 or 4 years of eligibility each.

I like it. It's kind of like building a track team around a core of 400/800 guys. Along with those open events, you have the 4x4, 4x8 and various medleys (depending on what level, etc).

The ones with the most quick twitch can usually drop down and help out on 200s if needed. The toughest ones can bump up to the 1500/mile now and then.

The point is, those five guys are ballers and the bread and butter of a good basketball team. I'd expect at least three of them to usually be on the court at the same time in the coming years. You could do a lot worse than running those 5 out together, too.

I agree, BB is largely positionless these days. If you have a bunch of athletic guys that can defend multiple positions, shoot, and rebound, you can get really creative and be really good. You still need a legit PG, and at least 1 of those versatile wings needs to be a capable secondary creator to complement the PG. And then ideally, you need a legit inside presence for when you go up against the Illnoises of the world. Most teams don't have talented size, so it is not necessary to have that rim protector to be a really good team, but it is necessary if you want to be elite.

Yep, for a PG and a big you probably take what the payroll allows (and who fit the system/culture)...but in an ideal world, I'd probably lean towards nabbing an established, legit big with one year left (that's still going to cost a ton) while taking a PG who maybe isn't quite as far along but has at least a couple years left.

Pg. good enough to play and develop into all big ten ,but not good enough to leave to be a NBA lottery pick It's almost what it has to be anymore sad ..... we need the next Andre Woolridge
