As ugly as this game was, it may have been one of our best efforts given the stakes involved. But man, that was an ugly offensive showing. Looking at the box, free throws and rebounds pulled this out...........

Rebounding and FTs. Making for FTs then they attempt is always a good recipe. Making 17-18 is amazing when's the last time we did anything close to that? We just match up better with Neb then we do the Purdues and MSUs of the league. They don't outsize us or out athlete us like the others do.

When we can rebound like that while playing defense like that it's gonna hold a team down in the 50s. I know Stirtz is a pretty good defender but for some of the season I thought he kinda coasted at that end to save his energy for O. But not this game he made it his mission in life to make Sandforts night hell and he did it.

I really wish we weren't such a one man team on offense like we are. I think that'll put ceiling on how far we'll go in both tournys. But man what a special talent Stirtz is. He's EXACTLY the type of PG that Fran had been trying to land for the duration of his tenure and never could.

Ben and this team really needed this type of W and it's awesome they got it. It's been tough to try and slap expectations down for this team with all the unknowns. But Ws like that can help parlay this yr into a solid ending and hopefully springboard Bens tenure going forward.

I can't get over the job Stirtz did on Sandfort... Dude gives up like 3 or 4 inches to him too. That to me was the game. Cause had Sandfort got going or Stirtz got in early foul trouble that woulda changed everything.
