For starter, just glad Hawks will not play Michigan, again
Right now, it's going to be either PSU or MSU and that won't be decided until today's game between PSU @ Minny.
If Minny wins, it will be against PSU (8-10, #7 seed)
If PSU wins, it goes to tiebreaker between Illannoy, Michigan, MSU & PSU at 9-9 each.
Illannoy gets the #4 by beating Michigan head to head (1-0)
Michigan gets the #5 by beating MSU head to head (2-0)
Then it's a very extensive tiebreaker between MSU & PSU:
Since they were 1-1 during the season, they start to count down their records against all teams above them. MSU and PSU have identical records against
OSU (both 0-2)
PU (both 0-2)
Wisky (both 1-1)
Illannoy (both 1-1)
Michigan (both 0-2)
NWU (both 2-0)
Minny (both 2-0)
If PSU wins, the tiebreaker comes all the way down to Iowa! PSU will then get the #6 by going 1-0 against the Hawks, while MSU was 1-1, and will get the #7 and a rubber match against the Hawks.
So, depends on who you want Iowa to play 1st round of B10 tourney. If you want them to play PSU, root for Minny, today. If you want a rubber match with MSU, root for PSU, today.
