Austin, 6'3", 280, is from my hometown Williamsburg, and is a great wrestler and all-state football player. Great get! I was hoping he would become a Hawkeye! Coach Ferentz loves those wrestlers/linemen.
Freestyle Achievements: 1st place at State 2008 and placing 5th at the national tournament in Fargo, ND.
Greco-Roman Achievements: 1st place at State 2008 and placing 2nd at the national tournament in Fargo, ND.
Folkstyle Achievements: Placing 3 out of 6 years at Iowa AAU State. Being a 6 time AAU State qualifier. Placing 2nd at AAU State in 2005 and placing 1st in 2007. Wrestling on two high placing Iowa National Teams in 2004 and 2007. Placing 2nd place at Iowa High School State at 2A Heavyweight as a Freshman(2008). Iowa 2A State Heavyweight Champion as a Sophomore(2009). Winning U.S.A. Nationals in 2008(Cadet)and placing 3rd in 2009(Junior).
