Article I found on Andrew McKeever

I found everything in this to be pretty fascinating. I skipped to the part about him but if you're a nerdy numbers guy there's a lot these guys put together. Long story short they think that Andrew in Bens system is going to get the most out of him. His strengths that he's shown so far married together with the types of rim opportunities he's going to get off rolls to the hoop for us will be a match made in heaven.

He's got what you can't teach and Coach Ben will have fun fine tuning the rest! I look forward to some McKeever/Jirak twin towers action lol.

He needs to spend the summer with Garza or his dad , he was so good at that little angle high off board. If this guy can get that down it'd be pretty unstoppable
Wouldn't that be awesome? It'd do him a world of good. This is going to be yr 3 for him at the college level. It's about the time big guys start coming into their own and we should see what they are all about. Luka took a huge leap between yrs 2 and 3. If Andrew does as well and Bens system with great patient team play it's hard to say how good he could be. If he could play between 25 and 30 mins who's to say he couldn't get to 14 pts and 10 plus rebs/game while being ridiculously efficient?

I don't think I'm underselling it to say landing a kid like him is a huge gamechanger.

Call me crazy. Andrew will probably not start. His minutes may run around 20-25. Much will depend how we play, small? big? In between? We will use our bench a lot. Stamina for bigs is key. How will Andrew hold up. Remember, the 5 has to run the entire floor on every exchange.

Our new guard? I predict lots of minutes from the get go.

Think Krafcisin and Waite were the original Hawkeye twin towers, so we clearly know who is the older poster.....
Were any of you guys around to watch "Bruce Sky King?' Of course watching may not have been the best word for it. More like listening to it on WHO radio. My small home town in Iowa didn't have cable TV back then. The only games that were available to watch were when we played ranked teams and maybe got to watch them on one of the Big Three Networks, ABC, CBS, and NBC.

I know there were at one time a few on here that were old enough to watch games back in the 60's as they occasionally talked of Ralph Miller. I wonder if they had dinosaur poop in their yards when they had to mow their grass? Not to be confused with smoking grass in the 60's.

The only time we could watch the Hawks on tv back then was when they were playing in the Big Ten Game of the Week, (can’t recall which network that was on), which wasn’t very often outside of the Ralph Miller era.
