I don't think Swarm is around anymore. But you can still support the Hawkeyes by buying Tigerhawk. It is a pilsner made by Big Grove. A portion of the proceeds go to the U of I Athletics. And, it is quite good!

I think the "TigerHawk" is a better swill than the old Swarm. It's a typical light pilsner that goes down well, especially when warm outside.

Big Grove in Iowa City underwhelms me in every way, except atmosphere.
Parking sucks. Beer and food are meh.

Won't stop me from going there with a big group to watch a game. Not sure you find too many better places, especially with a large group.

But just underwhelmed by their beer and food every time.

I also have never been enamored with their brews. There are some that are decent or on a level as other microbrews, but they have yet to pump out a "Spotted Cow". Just my opinion. They are going up all over now. Omaha & I think they are getting into Chicago. They are going for the fences.

I agree on their food. Very average and that's being kind. I do like most of their brews that I've tried. The Easy Eddie is my fav and the Tigerhawk is very good too.

I don't visit their locations much. You can buy most of their beers in any local Hy-Vee.

I don't think we have a giant billionaire type like that you would have heard of. Bill Kraus founded Kum and Go and yes, gave a lot, but that dude didn't have Cuban money. I think it is more of a compilation of a lot of incredibly wealthy farmers, ag guys, business owners. The closest comparison is what, Ashtun Kutcher, but that dude is worth a couple hundred mil and I don't know that he is an athletic booster of note.

As others have mentioned in other posts, Cuban sort of jumped on the Cig bandwagon, but wasn't a driving force behind Indiana's NIL success. Indiana has one of the best business schools in the country and has produced a lot of executives and business owners over the decades.
