10 most despised college football teams

Got this from my MSN feed from a group called football analysts. Rather than post the video thought I'd just list them.

1. Notre Dame - no surprise here, eh
2. Bama - too much Saban
3. Texas - those big Texas egos
4. LSU
5. Miami, Fl
6. USC
7. Michigan - remember Jim Harbaugh, sure you do
8. Ohio St
9. Florida St
10 Oklahoma

What's the common thread between these schools? They've all been big winners, want to remain big winners, and go to great extremes to get there, and have obno fans for the most part.

I agree with #1, would've had them at the top of my list for most of my lifetime. OSU and Michigan would be right there with them.

A bit surprised BYI didn't make this list. Maybe they need more time in the Big 12 with sustained success. They certainly have the NIL $$$$ and the righteous fans.

Texas Tech may be trending here

I don't get USC. Outside of the West Coast you don't hear much from them and their team hasn't been a National power for years (1 top 10 and 4 top 25 finishes over the last 10)

Let's give USC a few years in the B1G and see what we think then.

Agree If Texas Tech keeps pushing for Sorsby to play, they might shoot to the top of the list.

I would also put Colorado in the top 10 simply because I don't get why Deoin Sanders gets so much attention. I must have been in a coma when Sanders was popular in the NFL.

Its great Nebbie is not on there. 25 years ago they'd be in the Top 5. Their fans are still delulu and insufferable, but their program is utterly irrelevant these days. But hey, at least they gave their coach a midseason raise before he lost out!

Penn State should be on there. Obnoxious fans and fostering a child rapist warrant disdain.

Since it's just mid-June and we're spitballin here in HN, it feels like what we need is a 10 most despised college football programs here in HawkeyeNaton!

Here's mine:

1. Notre Dame
2. Ohio State
3. Michigan
4. Pen State
5 Nebraska
6. Illinois
7. Minnesota
8. Wisconsin
9. Missouri
10 Iowa State

I'll play.

1. ISU (because F-em)
2. Notre Dame
3. Minnesota (only because I have to listen to it up here)
4. Arizona (I'm still not over 2010)
5. Wherever Lane Kiffin is coaching
6. Nebraska
7. Colorado (fair weather posers)
8. Tennessee (if I hear Rocky Top one more time...)
9. Miami (is there a less "college football" college fan base?)
10. Ohio State
*Texas Tech could push up the list rapidly in the next couple of years.

I've never had a problem with Penn St or Michigan fans. I've tailgated and chatted with em on gamedays and they've been pretty decent.

It's pretty easy for me, in no particular order:

Iowa State Wisconsin Minnesota Nebraska Illinois

I consider those 5 teams our biggest rivals. It's a shame we don't seem to play Illinois in football very much any more, buy maybe that will change.

I considered last year a big success because we were 3-1 against the rivals. I assure you, all 5 of the above teams LOVE beating Iowa.

This year we play ALL 5 so it should be a lot of fun. Hoping for 4-1 or 5-1 but who knows with an untested QB and a very young D-line.

Biggest rivals does not always equate to most despised team though.

I wonder if they did a survey the other way---most liked team---if Iowa would crack the Top 10 list. I think most people have a solid opinion of KF, see Iowa as a successful program, see a lot of guys making it into the league, but not really a big threat to their team personally (unless you are Nebbie, Minny, Wisky). Iowa fans have a good reputation for the most part. The scandals that have come down over the years have been dwelled upon by our fan base, but probably most fans don't remember Rhabdo or a $10 bet, or even know who Doyle is. I think we would have a shot.

1. Iowa State (*has* to be #1)
2. Ohio State (entitled fan base. Annoying the three times I've been to the Shoe)
3. Nebraska (still pissed over Roger Craig) :)
4. Minnesota (love beating them, which we do often. Ugly uniforms/mascot)
5. Illinois (I live in far west Illinois, ugh. Blue/Orange is just plain ugly)
6. Wisconsin (Border bozos. Always glad to give them an L. Alvarez owes a lot to Iowa)

Honorable Mention to Georgia.
Most highly paid # of criminals in CFB.
And the ridiculous rationalizations to keep them playing.

I think it all comes down to ego. And for ego, Michigan is the worst.

When you attend a game against Michigan, there's a tangible "we're better than you" quality to their fanbase. Not only do they think they're the best (in every sense), they think that there would be no college football without them. It's a clear combination of football and academic prestige. It's why beating them is so fun and satisfying.

And then you realize that very few of them actually even went to Michigan. Really werid and annoying
