    Franklin calls out Hawk fans

Ok how crazy or unrealistic of an idea is this? Teams all have those “medical tents” now, why not put some sort of board which can give info such as jersey number and put a certain amount of time on a timer. Sort of like a hockey penalty box, but this is so there is adequate time to address an...

    Steve McMichael “Mongo” GoFundMe

Please delete if not allowed but I’m sure there are a few Bears fans, McMichael fans, NFL fans, WWE fans, and/or genuinely good people here who may be interested in helping this family out. My sister is a personal friend who is helping them find a new home tomorrow. I guess this whole thing...

    Let's talk about.....BEER!

Always a treat when you can cross the border into WI and come back with some New Glarus, most of the time Spotted Cow. However, I came home with some Fat Squirrel a few weeks ago and that stuff is REALLY good. It's a brown nut ale. I'm also anxious for Yeungling to be sold nationwide soon!

    Changes...

Agreed, Wasteland, at least in my opinion, appears to be appropriately named. I'm mostly a lurker here at HN, but I come here often to read up on Hawkeye related news and information. If there is a "rendezvous" site or new home to land (just in case), I'd sure like to know where it is. How can...

    OT: Usernames

When I was a sophomore Music Ed Major at Iowa, Miles Davis performed in concert at Hancher. I was unable to get tickets, but sent a Miles Davis poster I had with some of my friends who did have tickets. After the concert, they tried to take it backstage and were approached by his manager who...

    Best sporting event/venue

Hawkeye sports event/venue: Rose Bowl ‘91, I was with the band so the experience was incredible. Other sports event/venue: Game 3, 2016 World Series, first WS game in Wrigley since ‘45, and we were on a rooftop looking over right center. A dream come true (other than the Cubs lost 1-0).

    Pizza Jointz

No, there is still the same thicker/airy Chicago style crust. I think the crust is below the cheese in the picture. The key is that cheese up against the edges, man is it good.

    Pizza Jointz

Since my last post in this thread, I have experienced a pizza which took over my "top spot" for pizza in Chicago. And have found out it is a favorite of many Chicago locals as well. Used to be Gino's East, no one could touch it. Now, it's Pequod's in Lincoln Park area. Seriously, while in...

    bullet holes in pickup...........

I can somewhat vouch for this as well. We stopped overnight in Nashville this past summer on our way home from vacation in South Carolina, stayed at a decent (somewhat sketchy, but affordable, and a place to sleep) hotel called Millenium Maxwell House. The hotel itself was safe, but they were...

    Hawkeyes Socks From Stance

Sorry if already mentioned somewhere, and sorry if I'm not supposed to post links to merchandise sites, but wanted to make sure all fans knew these were available. I have quite a few pairs of Stance socks and really like them. If you're an MLB fan you might notice a lot of the players wear them...

    Pizza Jointz

Love me some pizza... Just got back from vacation in South Carolina low country/outer islands, stopped over last night in Nashville. We REALLY enjoyed Soulshine's pizza on Music Row. It was outstanding! Plus, Slap Yo Mama Bread Pudding! I'm a fan of several mentioned here already, but would...

    Pellet Grills

Sorry for replying without really reading the other replies, but I wanted to chime in with my pellet smoker experience. I have a Rec Tec and I HIGHLY recommend it! The pellet technology in general is great, regardless of brand, because you can just set it and forget it. No need to baby it by...

    Chicago Cubs 2016 Thread

His name is Shohei Ohtani....and he recently hit a ball through the Tokyo Dome. Ok, so it found an opening between panels, but his stats are certainly eye opening, both batting and pitching.

    Chicago Cubs 2016 Thread

Have to brag a little bit since I was at the game with my daughter. If you go with a child and it's their first time, be sure to get at First Timers Certificate. With this certificate, and with awesome seats (2nd row behind Cuns dugout), Javy Baez tossed his pair of batting gloves to her and...

    Grills

I have a Rec Tec pellet grill and absolutely love it! It's made extremely well out of some serious steel and their customer service is top notch. Example, I was smoking a brisket Sunday before Memorial Day and texting them throughout the day with questions, they always respond. As for grilling...
