    WNBA - drama continues

I’m out. No matter what side you fall on it is all exhausting. I wish all those young women the best, but I am done. In my case the gatekeepers won. Congratulations(sarcasm).

    A Little 'Spect...

You have to be realistic. Wisconsin and Nebraska are perfect examples of what happens when you lose your identity.

    A Little 'Spect...

Hopefully, Kirk’s successor embraces everything that guy just said. In my lifetime Iowa has always been a developmental program, and it needs to be that way moving forward. Catching lightning in a bottle the way Indiana did is not realistic. BG when she makes the hire better understand that...

Pick one for a crash & burn

^^^^ That is a good one. A really, really, really good one. A lot of people rooting for Lane Kiffin to crash and burn.

    Jack Reacher in Nebrakska

Alan Ritchson who plays Jack Reacher in the tv series looks the part…Tom Cruise in the movie version does not.

Pick one for a crash & burn

Nebraska I tried to think outside the box, maybe Dabo Sweeney and Clemson, but it would be me trying too hard. It is Nebraska.

    QB Battle Irony

I was going to do an Alanis Morissette joke as well, but I couldn’t come up with anything clever so I let it go.:)

    Tavion Banks

The best on-the-ball defender on the team last year. I’m guessing some sorta Thompson/Howard/Sage combo will have to do the dirty work that TB did. I wish the decision would have been made a lot sooner that way BM could have held a spot for him…totally understand why he didn’t tho. Really...

    Reality check: Iowa's quarterback situation

Northern Illinois ISU UNI @Michigan OSU @Washington @Minnesota Wisconsin @NW Purdue @Illinois Nebraska That schedule allows you to find and develop a quarterback…maybe not for a playoff run in 2026, but definitely in 2027.

    Diego Waived…

IMO, if he could find and/or show some humility, there is path for him to earn money as a career backup. He is 24 right now, he could easily work his back as a #2 or #3 guy on a NFL roster in 2 or 3 years, but he has to grow up.

    Reality check: Iowa's quarterback situation

Moulton left a lot of yardage on the table. You are hoping those 10 yard runs become 20 and 30. Lester has stated publicly that Moulton needs to grab the hidden yardage that is there. If he can’t do it…plenty of dudes in that runningback room that can.

    Reality check: Iowa's quarterback situation

Given how the schedule sets up, it screams 9-3/8-4.

    Reality check: Iowa's quarterback situation

I’m leaning hard toward the 2027 season. I think 2026 is the year you develop whoever wins the starting job. IMO, this is a 9-3/8-4 year with your eye on 2027.

CBS Ranks Iowa OL 9th Nationally

Lauck/Pieper: Are Pro(s) Myslinski: According to people that know…super talented, injury proned, 6th year guy, see what we get. Jones/Dotzler: We have gotten a taste, not sure how it translates into a full season. The potential OL starters are all 4th, 5th, and 6th year guys…barring...

    McKeever settling in with Hawkeyes

We all know the lack of size was the team’s achilles heel. McKeever led the nation in rebounds per minutes played. Size matters again in college basketball, and if you have functional big bodies, they are going to play. I would bet McKeever plays at least 25 minutes per game.

ANF Podcast is back with Tim Lester

Now that I am rambling on a Tuesday afternoon. I was wrong on the Tim Lester hire. I was initially disappointed in the Lester hire. I wanted Johns or Chryst. Not only was Lester the right hire…I am slowly becoming okay with him becoming Kirk’s successor.

Is the standup TE equivalent to splitting the tight end out? Don’t we want DJ Vonnahme out in space working dudes?

ANF Podcast is back with Tim Lester

It worked for the time. It was innovative. Fry’s biggest contribution was he and Mike White(Illinois) decided that they needed to chuck the football around to compete with the big boys in the conference.

ANF Podcast is back with Tim Lester

I enjoy watching old Iowa games as I assume you do as well. Watching a quarterback back peddle 6-7 yards, and then set his feet TOOK FOREVER. Yeah, that probably stop working around 95-96. A halfway decent DE/edge rusher would be blowing that up by the late 90(s).
