I totally agree that hiring Fitz wouldn't be a hire to get Hawk fans excited. I think Lester has done enough for fans to at least not hate his hiring. DeBoer would be a home run in my mind.

The only person I see in this scenario would be Pat Fitzgerald. Now that his Northwestern case has been finalized, he'll have a few decent offers out there and probably doesn't want to wait another year. I can't think of anyone else that Iowa could be tied too that's big enough of a name that...

I know I'll get tons of hate on here, but I have a hard time listening to Jess. Loved him as a player and an ambassador for the Hawks, but he's not my cup of tea on the Iowa broadcasts. He's better when it's not an Iowa game, in my opinion.

The Iowa program over the last 10 years or so has usually had one guy that can win a title, 3 to 5 guys that always don't show up at the NCAA's and a couple guys that podium higher than they should. No different this season. PSU will have at least 4 or 5 guys in the finals and teams like OSU...
