Some people are so ignorant when it comes to football. There is not a coach out there that wouldn't take advantage of having 3 weeks of extra practice. Bowl teams tend to stay bowl teams and those that don't make bowl games tend to continue to miss bowl season...even with 40 Frickin bowls...

Totally agree. One of best LBs ever at Iowa. Gave us every ounce he had. Miss his last colleiate game with his teammmates?! ZERO CHANCE OF HIM SITTING.

The money is great but there are also a ton of perks. I knew a member on the pelini staff...they could play any golf course, go to any pvt school for kids, access to any vehicles, like $1000 a month to spend on nike Nebraska gear, rarely have to pay for meals out in public....perks were endless

Totally agree. But he will have a better shot than most BT coaches to their respective campuses.

How big is Florida recruiting?

He'll out recruit the 50 yr old 3 yards and a cloud of dust coaches all day long. The athletes he'll want won't be in lincoln. But hell get em. AnD some will be from florida. I am more worried about his recruiting than his coaching. If ISU can get Florida recruits, NE can do it all day...

Just like every big ten campus. He'll get Florida recruits. Heck some may transfer there. Bet he'd love to bring a qb or two

Both have huge fan bases and some history albeit a while ago. Both have great facilities. Both are going to have to buck up and pay big dollars. Nebraska is the only show in town and TN is nearly that.

So don't want that. Can't imagine big donors going for that.

Week 11 WDM Dowling

Just watched again and it's 4:40am here. Loved how we constantly threw past the sticks like when we had it first and 20 from our own 5 and hit Hock for about 20. Then like Hayden Fry we scratched where it itched and ran the same play again for another 20 yards. Unreal.

I forgot that beatdown! 7 coaches is impressive.
