Looked like another screen set up. Sargent didn’t get enough if a chip but UM isn’t scared of Stanley or the WR breaking a big play. Assuming WI is healthy when we play them, they’re going to kill us

It would be Then the next week we don’t turn ball over, net 500 yards offense And lose

Imagine what UM would do to us if they had Ruddock at QB outside of PSU and OSU, the big ten has the worst QBs

So if Goodson is in there for that screen pass do we maybe get points on this drive ? Sargent plays hard but we don’t have gamebreakers

Iowa’s offense clicks once a year against a decent team. Then it’s all the fans talk about how Brian is amazing cause we put up 50 points against OSU two years ago!!!!!! We can still win this game but we’ve seen this story before every damn year. We can’t sustain defense efforts like this...

Do people really think things will be different when Brian takes over ? This is all he knows. This is all he’s shown.

Bad coaching. Bad QB play (masked by playing weak teams and low risk play calling) Good defense, but they can’t win every damn game for us

Should complain more about YAC since we just had it

!*****Official 'Cousin Oliver Has A Family Reunion at The Big House' Game Thread*****!

Just my perception but Iowa has to be near the bottom of all football for YAC I think it’s a huge reason why we constantly take 15 play drives to get 3 points. Yes we hit the the occasional 20-30 yard pass but that’s where the play stops. Any other pass is to the sideline or 5 yard outs...

Hey, he has WR go in motion and Urban Meyer had nice things to say And how many fumbles are they gonna recover !!!

A big reason why Stanley doesn’t throw INT Coaching staff doesn’t allow team to take risks.

Come on refs, you’re not allowed to throw the ball over 40 yards in the air!!!! That’s why we don’t do it

IOWA VS MICHIGAN, GAME PREDICTIONS THREAD

You bring up an interesting point. Iowa has changed its scheme only a few times under KF, and in recent years it was against OSU In 2017 we came out throwing In 2013 we came out with a 3 TE set and nearly beat them in their house I assume it’s because KF has something against Urban

IOWA VS MICHIGAN, GAME PREDICTIONS THREAD

I'm fine with the scripting of plays. Brings me back to the Bill Walsh 49er days :) The problem is when we don't appear to have learned anything and run into brick walls over and over. Some of that is on Stanley too when he has his bad days and can't hit wide open targets.

IOWA VS MICHIGAN, GAME PREDICTIONS THREAD

Do we come out like OSU in '17 throwing the ball all over the field and putting pressure (of course Hooker's INT return on the first play kinda set the mood too), or do we do what KF normally does....try to force the opposing team into KirkBall (i.e playing in a phone booth). I believe Iowa has...

    Keys: Michigan Game

I feel like it depends on UM's defense. If they decide to sit back I think Iowa can take control. If they blitz a ton I'm not sure Stanley has shown he can handle the pressure in the big games

    Oliver Martin v Michigan

If Iowa were to mimic the WI offense I think they would be a 9-10 win team each year barring injuries or huge turnover on one side of the ball. But the thing with the WI offense is that it's pretty easy to pick up. They don't out recruit us, in fact I'd say over the last five years they really...

    Wisconsin winning the West

Wisconsin is where they are because they beat the teams they should consistently. That gets them to the Big10 Championship game more times than not, and they always have a decent chance with their defense. Not sure it'll matter this year with how loaded OSU is, but it goes to show what can...

    Beating Michigan

Time for WR to prove they can beat better competition, and for Stanley to consistently hit targets over 20 yards cause UM is going to stack the box.

    Our greatest area for improvement

Lack of big plays / breakaway speed Yes we have a few players that are fast, ISM, and Goodson. But how many big play TD have we had this year ? All that comes to mind is the ISM / Rutgers 60 yard TD reception Our offense is back to pre Wadley efficiency in that it’ll take 8-10 play drives...
