Rate B1G Hoops job re: Recruiting

What are thiose schools in Lawrence, KS or Columbia, MO where he would have 1/2 the success? The ones I'm thinking of he would have zero problems recruting big time players or winning big there.

Rate B1G Hoops job re: Recruiting

Not many kids in Illinois grow up rooting for Illinois where as kids in Michigan and Ohio grow up rooting for the instate school(s). Indiana turns out a lot of BB talent and too often it's going somewhere other than IU/PU. Not that they're not getting their share, but a good number of kids...

    Ferentz Spring Presser Transcript

So what you're saying is Hayden knew all about the psycology of extrication? In other words, he was a Master Extricator. The other thing I take from your post is I need to do a better job of taking what Kirk says at face value. That Kirk, he never was very good at the art of coach speak.

    Five questions for next year

I think it's more logical to hope Oglesby assumes Gaten's role than Marble. The Oregon game aside Marble is not the three point shooter that Matt is/was.

    Wisky Helped by Zebras

How did what Wiscy got away with compare to Kingsbury's cold armed shiver against George Washington?

    Lebron James... dumbest decision ever

I guess it isn't apparent to me. Get back to me in June.

    Quarterbacks - Spring Edition

Gus Schrader and his Red Peppers column was good. I also remember he would do a recruiting article or two during the year titled (predictably) "On the recruiting trail" with a picture of a blood hound with his nose to the ground. I was never a big fan of The Big Peach because it could make...

OT: Monson's press conf talks about Alford

Alford came in with a lot of bravado and most/all ate it up. After a while his substantial ego/bravado without matching success wore on people. I knew Seth is/was a huge Alford supporter, but I never heard or gave much thought to how others viewed his time here.

He did. Do you remember that hair?

Davis likes what he sees in JVB

DB is like RB, you can never have enough. Oh wait........., you're calling me a Delta Bravo. But, I can still make all the throws and make plays in space.

    What is JVB's deal anyway?

Are you on a medication that impairs the readability of your posts? I understand all the words in your post, but when I read them in the order you typed them I haven't a clue what you mean or your point. Thanks for playing interpret that post.

Davis likes what he sees in JVB

That's what people that think they know how to evaluate QB play look at first as that's akin to the "Big Arm, can make all the throws" cliche people like to use because they think it makes them sound knowledgeable. As far as comparing him to QB's from 20 to 25 years ago......., WOW. Why...

McCaffery not source for SI article

I don't object to their use because they have their place in most/every type of journalism, but when anonymous sources are your sole source for a story then I question the integrity and motives of the writer. Just because sources are anonymous doesn't make them honest. That source could be...

    What is JVB's deal anyway?

Agreed- W's over stats any day. The lamp post analogy is good. I'm not sure where he'll finish on your QB list, but if I were a betting man I would probably agree. However, I am cautiously optimistic that JVB will improve. One thing that's been a trend under KOK is that QB's tend to...

McCaffery not source for SI article

Anonymous sources making critical comments = Message Board Poster. Writers using anonymous sources as their sole resource for their degrading articles = classless. For all I know Davis is the anonymous source.

Other then that, how was the play Mrs. Lincoln?

    What is JVB's deal anyway?

This whole thing about passer ratings, dropped passes, and statistics confuse me. What doesn't confuse me is this- does JVB make plays to extend drives and win games? His record of 7-7 as a starter would suggest no. Nobody knows if JVB had more dropped passes than anybody else in the Big...

    What is JVB's deal anyway?

Yep, because James was the only one in league or nation to have his passes dropped. Other than that your extrapolation skills are uncanny.
