No it's not all that matters. Playing no defense down the stretch come post season will get you an early exit from the tourney.

    Iowa at Indiana Game Thread

Ok, great Iowa beat Indiana on the road. But how do you give up 42 points in the 4th quarter. Did Iowa stop playing defense all together?

horrible second half effort by most of the bench.

Kirk signs contract extension, 7 Million a year through 2029

Phil Parker better keep the defense humming along. How long will he keep coaching? I have been saying for years maybe KF will come around to a more modern style of offense. With that said, hope KF comes around next fall and gets more with the times offensively!

Kirk swallows his pride and old ways…

Iowa's defense says thank you for acknowledging wins vs. losses as we had the most to do with them. Being on the field so often after the offenses many 3 and outs, gave us more opportunities to make big plays.

    Howe: Time for Change

I think many people felt this way, at some point in time. It didn't happen obviously. I'm past, way past, the point of hoping year after year it will happen.

A few Classless Fans need to get a grip

Agree 100%. Most of the offensive ineptitude is on the coaching staff. They recruit, teach and put the players on the field. Every kid on the team gives their best effort 99% of the time. 10 wins are 10 wins, but most of them were ugly and there will be years, as we've seen, the ball won't...

    Howe: Time for Change

Brian Ferentz should have been shown the door when Chris Doyle was shown it. We all know it yet we all knew it would not happen with dad in charge. Karma is a bitch! 10 wins aside, this is a horrible offense to watch and the players are better than the offensive philosophy KF and BF use.

    Howe: Time for Change

Many on here have been saying for years the head coach and his offensive philosophy needs to change. It never does. I am still shocked two dual threat QB's, who are highly rated, committed to this team with their offensive ineptitude.

Ok, agree with you on him going. He's to good to stay.

    Conservative Kirk Costs Us Again

I agree with both your points and would go further on Lavar Woods. He needs to be the next head coach at Iowa based on his coaching and recruiting talent.

Would agree with you. The only reason I wonder is because Linderbaum seems like a different type of person. And I mean that in a good way!

Happy Linderbaum came back in the game. Hope he's not more hurt than it looked on TV. The question is, what will he do next year? Come back or go to the NFL?

You mean the miracle pass that Robison was wide open on. That's not a miracle. That's called prevent defense and doesn't work well with a talent like Robinson.

Who's responsible for the QB being on the field. The head coach and OC. Nuff said.

You must still be drunk from New years. Iowa ran well in the 2nd half and played good defense part of the game. That's about all.

Iowa covered Wan'Dale Robinson like they covered David Bell. Not much at all. Petras missed several receivers today. How he was in the entire game is mind blowing. Any QB can hand the ball to a RB, but if I'm Padilla, I announce immediately after the game I'm transferring. The bend but...
