Early point spreads

Listed Point spreads for Iowa games from FDSportsbook:
Iowa State (+6) @ Iowa (down from 6.5 yesterday)
Michigan (-4) @ Iowa
Iowa (+21) @ Ohio State

I'll take Iowa, Michigan, and Iowa.
The Iowa St. line seems about right. Without doing a deep dive the Michigan line seems low -- on a neutral field in the BTen championship game the Wolverines led 28-3 before breaking it open in the 4th qtr...Kinnick getting a lot of credit for that line. +21 is pushing it vs. Iowa's D, but frankly, I wouldn't bet either way on any of those spreads.

I would prolly take Meechigan here too but they will be missing two NFL-level DEs that destroyed our inexperienced tackles last year. I think it's different this year but Mich still has a pretty large talent differential. Having said that, Iowa returns the most starters in the BoneG. I wouldn't be on this game.

Only a few of the seniors are still there from the 2017 Iowa win. And the coaching staff has all changed.
I think he may have been joking... and O$U may roll everyone this year. We'll see I guess. Their really young offense looked really good in the bowl game. I'd be surprised if they aren't in the playoffs this year. I like to be surprised, though.

Dam Racer....where you been??

Iowa/ISU is always a pretty tough bet and I'd never touch it. However, I'll drop a little reminder:

Things that happened in 2014

--Obama is president
--Greg Davis OC
--Fran McCaffrey's 4 season
--Jonathan Parker saved the ball from going out of bounds in the Hawkslayer Bowl (Jan 2, 2015)
--Iowa State last scored a TD in Kinnick

This is gonna come back this fall and bite me in the ass.

Isn't Michigan losing a lot in terms of players graduating or going to the NFL?

I have to think Iowa has the Michigan game circled.
Iowa should have had the last Michigan game circled. Just my opinion, but if your not ready to play in a conference championship what good does circling it on the schedule do. They can circle it all they want, but they better be ready to show up on game day.

Up until the Big Ten Championship game I didn't think any team could beat Iowa by 21 with our style of play and salty defense. But, like us beating OSU the last time out, sometimes a team is just clicking on a given day. But, the odds of OSU beating us by 21 is pretty low IMHO. I see that as a 28-13 type of affair. We get one cheap touchdown on a trick play and two short field FGs. The rest of the day is a lot of punting and valiant effort by our overtaxed defense.

Hey, man! I worked in Denver for the past three years, and now I'm in LA. Even with that, I will STILL get back to a few Hawk games this year, as I'm keeping my season tickets. How are you?

Got married. Moved from Durant to near Geneseo, IL. Still working as a pharmacist. Going to less games but make a couple a year. Always do an away game. :)

Congrats on getting married. If you like, let me know which games you're going to and I'll see if I can stop by and say hi.
