From 2015 through 2021 to date, Iowa is 59 Wins and 22 Losses, for a winning percentage of .728.

The only two comparable 7 year stretches are 1954 through 1960 (45-17-3 for .715 winning percentage); and 1981-1987 (62-23-1 for a .726 winning percentage).

What is more remarkable about the current Ferentz 7 year run is that there are only 5 losses where Iowa didn't either lead or was within one score of winning in the fourth quarter before losing:

1. 2015 Rose Bowl - 45-16 loss to Stanford

all of the 5 teams were ranked before or immediately after the win over Iowa (Purdue is ranked #25 in this week's AP Poll).

I fully expect Iowa to bounce back and to be very competitive in these last 5 games of 2021. We may not win them all, but I'm guessing we will be in every game.

We should cherish this run. I'm looking forward to another great bowl game at the end of this season.

Good stuff.

Just a need a title to go with these numbers.

Yes, the other two yearly stretches mentioned in the OP have two Big 10 Championships in the Fry stretch and Evy's two Big 10 Championships and 2 Rose Bowl wins. I would put the 2015 team as championship caliber at 12-0 but really that is the only team in this Ferentz stretch.

It is still a great accomplishment for Kirk winning at just about a 3 win to every 4 game clip, winning a bunch of bowl games, just piss pounding OSU once and Nebby two or three times, and blasting ISU what 6 times in a row now during ISU's greatest era (hahahaha). And last years team with the SR OFF Tackles was being dominant in their 6 game streak.

Iowa won the 2015 West (championship) and won 3 bowl games during this run (would have been 4 with a win over Missouri last year).

Yes the 2015 team won the West Div title but I was referring to conference titles as we all know how we felt after the loss to MSU in the title game that year.
