Anyone else SUPER excited for LSU VS BAMA?

6 bad teams. A win is a win. Yes, they got beat up pretty bad by Boise, but they've gotten better, honestly their D is 10x better than Iowa's right now.
Saying their D is better than Iowa's is not impressive, our D is terrible.Their six wins came against Costal Carolina, an Ole Miss team that is winless in the SEC, Miss St who has won one SEC game and went to OT with Louisiana Tech, a Tennessee team who is winless in the SEC and has only scored in double digits once in their last four games (and that was against Georgia), a one SEC win Vandy and a Florida team who scored four offensive touchdowns the entire month of October. The conference record of the teams they have beat is 4-24. Sorry I'm not impressed with them at all.

You don't need to be impressed, I'm not asking for your approval.

Is that lineman kid from Cokers school, Demartha, that we missed out on last spring, playing for alabama this year yet? I obviously haven't followed to close.

This game will be hard-pressed to be better than the USC-Stanford game,or Wis-OSU game,or Wis-MSU game. Sometimes these hyped matchups are great, like Mich-Iowa in 85 or OSU -Mich in 2005?...but they can be blowouts also. I think LSU is better, but since the game in Bama,it might be very close. The Big Ten does not feature any good games outside of Michigan-Iowa this weekend,so this game will suffice.

My Wife graduated from Bama and I spent a year of school there, so this game is huge for our household. Having watched Bama play for most of my life, so far this year this is the best Bama team I've ever seen play. LSU has looked amazing as well though. My concerns for Bama is their punting and kicking game and also how well McCarron handles the atmosphere. LSU has got great special teams and has 2 QB's that have played in huge games before. I still think Alabama wins, but it's going to be close.

As far as the lineman from Coker's high school, he was second string and seeing a decent amount of playing time until he tore his ACL a few weeks ago. The kid is massive, but then again it seems like everyone is massive on that team.

I don't see any way it's a blowout. These defenses are just too good for that. 10-point margin at most.

ESPN has spent the better part of the decade hyping up the SEC any chance they get. College football live is basically a highlight and discussion of current SEC stories. Coaches from their round table discussions consist of mainly coaches from the south. So, yes if your uncontrollably excited for this game ESPN is getting exactly what they want.

They have won 5 straight NC's. Also, this game is on CBS.

They're getting what they want, but it's not because of their continual hype. LSU and 'Bama are by far the best two teams I've seen this year. THAT is why I'm excited for this game, not because ESPN tells me I should be.

Haha well they have won but I will be surprised if an SEC team wins the title this year. Im guessing you guys are in the closet SEC chanters right?

:) I'm an out of the closet SEC chanter, they are currently playing the best football and it's fun to watch. Sure, they may cheat a little more and might pay their players more, but it's still good football. I'll still root for the B1G over the SEC all day, but you can't deny their sucess. I HOPE the B1G steps up and overtakes them again as the strongest conference.

They just said this is the game of the century on ESPN....excuse me while I go throw up. The best game this century was USC vs TEXAS...

Uh... never mind.

:D

I do agree about USC v Texas. It was hyped to the heavens going in - and amazingly, lived up to the hype and then some.

So, because we admit that LSU and 'Bama are far better than anything the Big Ten can put out right now, we're closet SEC chanters?

The word you're searching for is OBJECTIVE.

So people can only be really excited to see this game if it's the game of the century?
