More sec drivel...

Anybody catch the sec drivel right after the alabama game on cbs? The post game schmucks were asked where they would put Alabama and one immediately said number 1...which isn't out of the question...but then the guy went on to say that they were just on a "completely different level than everybody else" this is the same team that had to beat Lsu in OT last week and held off Miss. St. By a whopping 5 pts.

These statements are fairly close to the truth. Can you imagine iowa playing any of these top SEC teams. It would be an embarrassment.

The guy didn't say they were on a completely different level as iowa. I know it seems odd for him to do this but he was talking about all the other teams

I’m getting whiplash from watching them flip flop between hyping teams.

By and large, its been a disappointing year for the SEC (like last year). Every team has been inconsistent and exposed, no Heisman contenders, the east has been garbage, etc. They thought they were getting 2 or 3 teams in the playoff, now its looking like 1.

I wasn’t buying Deace’s theory earlier in the season and I’m sure as hell not buying it now. Pac-12 scares me more than the SEC (West).

What theory?

Agreed with your SEC thoughts. I can see a couple of different scenarios where everyone has at least two losses in that conference. If that happens, it'll be tough to convince that they deserve to have two teams in it. It does seem that the committee is trying to do everything in its power to keep all their teams ranked to justify the other teams high rankings (I'm looking at you LSU and A&M).

I think that Bama will be the only SEC team to make the playoffs if they dont screw it up in the iron bowl. With me being TN fan I hope they dont. I never have been a big fan of the SEC. If its not TN or Iowa I could care less. Lol
